Eric Bulliard (Switzerland) Fiction

Born in 1970 in Fribourg, Éric Bulliard is a journalist, literary critic and novelist. He is responsible for the culture section of the newspaper La Gruyère. His first novel, L'adieu à Saint-Kilda, published in 2017, won several awards.

He received the Prix des lecteurs de la Ville de Lausanne for his novel La cabine (Editions de l'Hèbe).

Mathias Howald (Switzerland) Fiction

Mathias Howald was born in 1979. He lives in Lausanne. His first novel, Hériter du silence, published in 2018 (by éditions d'autre part) won the Prix du public RTS 2019. His second novel, Cousu pour toi, was published by Scribes/Gallimard in May 2023.

Emmanuella Lalanga (Central African Republic) Film script

Emmanuella Lalanga is a filmmaker from the Central African Republic. She holds a bachelor's degree in Private Law and a master's degree in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences. After training as a screenwriter in Bangui, Central African Republic, Emmanuella Lalanga directed the short film "Pas avant le bac", which was selected in 2023 at the Côté Court festival in Pantin. As part of her residency at Lavigny, Emmanuella Lalanga will be working on the screenplay for "Voundou" (Tristesse), a feature-length project.

Mariana Sandez (Argentina) Fiction

Born in Buenos Aires, she has been living in Madrid, since 2019. A graduate in Literature from Buenos Aires, she studied English Literature at the University of Manchester and holds a postgraduate degree in Literary Theory and Comparative Literatures. As a cultural manager, she created and directed several prestigious literary programs for different main cultural institutions in Buenos Aires, such as the the National Museum of Fine Arts. Since 2005 she has been writing literary articles for the two main newspapers in Argentina and in Spain. She is the autor of a book of interviews and essays, El cine de Manuel. Un recorrido sobre la obra de Manuel Antín (2010); the novel Una casa llena de gente (Compañía Naviera Ilimitada, Argentina, 2019 / Impedimenta, Spain, 2022) and the book of short stories Algunas familias normales (2016 / Compañía Naviera Ilimitada, 2021). Her second novel, La vida en miniatura, will be released in February 2024 (Impedimenta).

Myriam Wahli (Switzerland) Fiction

Myriam Wahli was born in Switzerland in 1989, in the industrial heartland of the Bernese Jura. Today, she lives and works in Bienne. She is the author of a collection of short stories, Le poids des poissons perdus (Le noyau, 2013) and two novels, Venir grand sans virgules (L'Aire, 2018), whose German translation is Ohne Komma (die Brotsuppe, 2023) and Comme de l'eau dans l'eau (La Veilleuse, 2024)
