The Château de Lavigny is pleased to announce fellowships for literary translators sponsored by Pro Helvetia, Swiss Arts Council
Pro Helvetia, the Swiss Arts Council, joins forces with the Ledig-Rowohlt Foundation to offer residencies to literary translators who have a confirmed translation project that concerns a Swiss living author. A signed contract with a publishing house for the proposed project is necessary.
The Ledig-Rowohlt/Pro Helvetia fellowship will provide experienced translators with a CHF 1'400.- grant, as well as a fixed amount of CHF 300.- for travel expenses. The fellowship does not include board.
The application files for the Pro Helvetia Fellowship residency (application form) and all the documents listed on the form, including a copy of the publishing house’s contract for the translation project, must be sent by email to the Ledig-Rowohlt Foundation no later than October 15 for a residency the following year.
The Château de Lavigny is pleased to announce fellowships for writers from the regions covered by the liaison offices of Pro Helvetia (Arab region, China, Russia, South America, South Asia, West Africa, Central Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa) sponsored by Pro Helvetia, Swiss Arts Council.
Applications for a 4-weeks, 8-weeks or 12-weeks residency must be submitted directly to Pro Helvetia via myprohelvetia.ch. once a year (application deadline: 1 March - for the following year). Application for a 4-weeks research trip residency must be submitted both to Chateau de Lavigny (application deadline: 15 October - for the following year) and to Pro Helvetia via myprohelvetia.ch. The fellowships include the costs of the residency, a CHF 1’400.- grant (per 4-weeks), travel expenses, local transports, health insurance.
